Improvisation
Performed by Angela Rawlings, Hallveig Ágústsdóttir, Gyða Valtýsdóttir and With Lumps: Neil Davidson, guitar, Fritz Welch, drums, with guest; Ilan Volkov, violin
echolology interrogates linguistic reliance on pronouns and their inherent hierarchy. The composition grows from inherited procedures and poetic forms (lipogram, cut-up technique, homophonic translation, erasure) co-opted to emphasize a green ethos through reduction, recyclage, and reuse of language
kLAnK - FROM GRAPHIC SCORE TO SOUND DRAWING - A PERFORMANCE
Hallveig’s performances are purified reflections on sound and image. Each drawing leads towards and is at the same time the immediate result of a new composition. The improvised communication between artist, computer and musician creates an environment where sound and image combine and conduct each other. What remains is a witness; a drawing / a video composition capturing the gesture of drawing, melody and rhythm.”
Touch Done
"It is a poor sort of a memory that only works backward" said Carroll´s White Queen
A star in the sky is a long gone ghost, a fingermark lightyears away
We are all cells on earth´s fingermark seen lightyears ahead
Every touch given creates our future which is an inverted past of every touch done
Memory is seen a solid reality, future a gaseous one
every single touch creates a spiral
it goes both ways you can climb or you can fall
touch done is an etude in nakedness
With Lumps: Corrupted sonic realism with quivering robot skins both mildewed and expansive.
