Bergrún Snæbjörnsdóttir

Bergrún Snæbjörnsdóttir (b. 1987) is a composer/hornist residing in Reykjavík. She has studied composition in the Iceland Academy of the Arts and her works have been performed by various ensembles. The focus of her works has been on combining the visual and aural, mostly through some form of animated notation.
As a performer Bergrún has worked with Björk, Sigur Rós and many other Icelandic bands. She is a member of composers' collective S.L.Á.T.U.R. (Society of artistically obtrusive composers around Reykjavík) and a co-chairman of the Icelandic committee of Ung Nordisk Musik festival.
